The Hero of the story

The Hero
Through of noble birth, Alastair Von Angstlich has lived a life of indulgence and privilege having never left the comforts of his family home. This has left him with no real world experience and in the face of danger he quivers in fear, but with recently been kidnapped and placed in the dark depths of an abandoned Castle he is left with no choice but to continue onward and face his fear with what little courage he has.
Alastair's design has changed from the first concept art (as seen below) with being in black and white. We decided to add color to the character but this was later changed to fit in with the dark theme of the game resulting with the finished product.

The less light there is from torch the more courage the darkness can feed off Alastair and when fully drained of courage he is consumed by the darkness. The torch does have one ability that may just save Alastair's life, it being capable of replenishing a small part of courage to the courage bar giving up some light in the process. While travailing through the Castles many labyrinths it is best to keep an eye out for a flame sources that will replenish some of the torches light.
